S7348 - Deep Learning in Argo.ai's Autonomous Vehicles

Session Description

We'll provide an overview of the models Argo.ai and Ford are using to fuse sensor information, and give examples of the performance optimization. Argo.ai and Ford are leveraging deep learning for autonomous vehicle perception across a multitude of sensors. It is important that these models have optimized performance to process high-resolution images, lidar point clouds, and other sensor inputs in a timely fashion. We will discuss how Argo.ai and Ford are exploring a variety of methods to push the run-time performance to new limits and maximize the use of the resources available, including modifying the underlying models, data structures, and the inference engine itself.
