S7702 - Recognize, Describe, and Generate: Introduction of Recent Work at MIL

Session Speakers
Session Description

The Machine Intelligence Laboratory (MIL) in the University of Tokyo aims to realize intelligent systems that go beyond human capability by fusion of the real world and the cyber space, and is working on various research such as real-world recognition and content generation. In recent years, deep learning enabled by the evolution of GPGPU has greatly improved the accuracy of image recognition, and accelerated research on even more challenging subjects such as image caption generation and image generation. MIL has been pioneering and working on these research fields even before deep learning has began to spread. We'll introduce our research presented at some of the top conferences in the last few years.
