Learn about rendering pipeline design possibilities when using the NVIDIA OptiX ray casting SDK. Benefit from the experience gained while implementing a full global illumination path tracer with support for the Material Definition Language (MDL). Discuss topics like microfacet implementations, volume absorption and scattering, dispersion, various esmission distribution functions including IES profiles, sampling of arbitrary mesh lights, or advanced topics like programmable layering of arbitrary BSDFs with estimation heuristics, hair intersection routines and shading, and the intricate details you need to watch out for when implementing all together.
