Session Description

We'll introduce TRONIS, a high resolution virtual environment for prototyping and safeguarding highly automated and autonomous driving functions. We'll showcase how the vehicle, the environment and the driver behavior can be accurately modeled such as to reflect, develop and safeguard complex driving situations. TRONIS allows deploying Artificial Intelligence, thus enabling the vehicle to learn how to safely operate in its virtual environment with realistic scenarios. This behavior can afterwards can be transferred to real vehicles. TRONIS closes the gap between real drive and virtual drive testing. TRONIS exploits a state of the art gaming engine as introduced by UNREAL for the photo-realistic representation of the vehicle environment, the vehicle itself and the vehicle driver. TRONIS is empowered by NVIDIA.
