Bill Newell co-founded NorthSouth Studios in 2005 and serves as its CEO. Under his leadership, NorthSouth Studios is transitioning from a mobile and systems development studio to an augmented reality company. NorthSouth Studios is creating a platform and innovative applications and tools to easily deploy augmented reality experiences. Previously, Bill served as the chief operating officer of the Knowledge Kids Network, a Knowledge Universe company; as vice president of production for iXL Inc, a NASDAQ-listed internet services company; and vice president of production for Digital Planet, an internet and content development startup. Bill started his career at Philips Media, where he managed a production studio for the family and entertainment division. Bill's areas of focus are augmented reality, mobile apps, games, and AI. Bill has implemented hundreds of projects for major brands like Mattel, Intel, Disney Online, Warner Brothers, Leapfrog Toys, U.S. Postal service, K12, Kaplan, and many more. Bill holds a B.A. in accounting and business administration from Universidad San Martin de Porres in Lima, Peru, and a postgraduate degree in banking from IPAE.
