Federico Silla is an associate professor at the Technical University of Valencia, Spain, where he received his M.S. and Ph.D. in computer engineering in 1995 and 1999, respectively. Federico is also an external contributor of the Advanced Computer Architecture research group at the University of Heidelberg. He worked for two years at Intel Corporation. His research addresses high-performance interconnection networks and remote GPU virtualization mechanisms. He has been the coordinator of the rCUDA remote GPU virtualization project since it began in 2008. He has published more than 90 papers in peer-reviewed conferences and journals, as well as 10 book chapters. Federico has been member of the program committee on several of the most prestigious conferences in his area. He is also an associate editor of the Journal of Parallel and Distributed Computing.
