Krishnan Suresh is a professor of mechanical engineering at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. He graduated in 1998 from Cornell with a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering. He later served as an engineering manager at Kulicke and Soffa Industries, Philadelphia from 1998 through 2002. He has received numerous peer-reviewed grants, including the prestigious NSF Career award in 2007. His research interests are in topology optimization, additive manufacturing, finite element analysis, and high performance computing. He has co-authored over 90 technical papers, and received best-paper awards from ASME. He is also a co-founder of SciArt, LLC (www.sciartsoft.com), a Madison-based startup company that creates and supports high-performance topology optimization software solutions.
