Antonio Miguel Espinosa

Speaker Bio

Antonio Espinosa is an associate professor of the University Autonoma of Barcelona (UAB). He belongs to the Computer Architecture and Operating Systems department of the Engineering School. He received his Ph.D. degree in 2000 in the UAB doing research in the performance analysis of HPC programs. Antonio has been PI of several public and industrial projects, and is a co-author of a large number of top journal and conference papers His research interests are centered in the optimization of scientific and industrial applications in hybrid computer architectures. Lately, he has been focused in the optimization of ADAS and autonomous driving systems in NVIDIA Platforms such as DrivePX. He collaborates with Computer Vision Center (CVC) in the context of the Elektra project to improve the performance of the vision algorithms in GPU low energy platforms.
