Jonathan Masci received his Ph.D. in 2014 from the Swiss AI lab, IDSIA, just before co-founding NNAISENSE SA, a startup which aims to provide large-scale neural network solutions to industry and build the first practical general purpose AI. He is also general manager of Quantenstein GmbH, a joint venture between NNAISENSE and Acatis Investments GmbH, which is marketing long-term value investing products by applying the latest developments in deep learning technology. Jonathan's main interests are deep learning, machine learning, and non-Euclidean learning. During his Ph.D., he developed algorithms for the leading steel manufacturer, ArcelorMittal, resulting in the first application to date of deep learning to heavy industry. His most recent work on learning methods for shape analysis has contributed to the development of intrinsic convolutional neural networks, the first general and flexible framework for deep learning on non-Euclidean domains.
