Stephen Olivier

Speaker Bio

Stephen Olivier is the technical lead for run time systems R&D in the Center for Computing Research at Sandia National Laboratories. His projects include the Qthreads multithreading library and the task parallel API extensions to the Kokkos performance portability library. He represents Sandia on the OpenMP Architecture Review Board and Language Committee, where he serves as chair of the Tasking Subcommittee. He has published numerous papers in the technical literature, including ACM/IEEE Supercomputing (SC) and the IEEE International Parallel and Distributed Processing Symposium (IPDPS). Stephen received his B.S. in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington and his M.S. and Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
