Martin Stich has been at NVIDIA for 9 years. Most of this time he has spent working on all aspects of ray tracing, with a detour through GPU architecture where he contributed to the Maxwell SM design. He co-created OptiX in 2008 and now leads engineering on OptiX and related projects. Before joining NVIDIA, Martin worked on high quality rendering algorithms at mental images, and on visualization systems for air traffic controller training. He studied computer science at the University of Ulm in Germany.
